Introduction

Schwinn bikes are well-known for offering excellent value with long features-lists and low price points. The Schwinn 270 is no different and offers a similar selection of abilities to the 230 but with just a couple of extras.

As a recumbent bike, this exercise machine will have you sitting in a reclined position with your feet around waist level.

This removes the weight and pressure from the knees and spine allow you to ride more comfortably, especially if you have pre-existing joint issues. It's also just a little comfier and means you can enjoy sitting back to watch TV while still burning plenty of calories.

Features

The 270 comes with all the features of its younger brother which mean you get a heart rate monitor, dual display, adjustable seat and handles, MP3 player, built-in fan, USB charger, speakers, heart rate monitor and programmable workouts.

Recumbent Stationary Bike

On top of that, though, this unit also just gives you more of everything. That means 29 programs and 4 user settings versus 20 and 2. You also get more levels of resistance (25 versus 20) and generally, this means you can create an even more personalized and tailored workout to suit your level of fitness and your goals.

The build-quality here is excellent too. The perimeter weighted flywheel ensures that you'll be able to ride quietly and smoothly and you won't need to worry about deterioration.

What Customers Say

Most customers were very satisfied with step by step directions guide was written by the manufacturer. Using that guide makes it easy to assemble.

In use, all electronics came alive once the supplied power supply was plugged in. Bike turns itself off after use. You can set up to 4 users by name, and track/record everything needed.

Resistance adjustments require only a push of the up or down buttons. Silent in operation with a comfortable seat that is easily adjusted with a single adjustment lever so that the seat can slide up/down its track. Plug-in to add your music player to feed the speakers. A quiet fan that is a gentle breeze and not much more even on high.

Overall, this is an excellent choice for beginners but remains as a great option once you progress with your workout plans. We would recommend this bike to those who want to test different types of exercise and achieve their fitness plans.

Conclusion

If you're after a great recumbent bike that really packs in tons of features for an amazing price, then the Schwinn 270 really is a good option. With fans and tons of settings and programs, it really does give you premium specs at a much lower price point.

That said, if you don't need extra programs or users, then you might be able to save yourself some more money by choosing the slightly less expensive 230 model instead.
